Just tonight, I found this incredible collection of photos, apparently taken by Zeke when I was off-duty. Enjoy! On our chalkboard is a drawing that Zeke made this week. He explained to me that it's a picture of our house encircled by Heavenly Father's presence. 

Sophie is NINE!!!!!

It's time to crank out a blog few updates.  First, Sophie turned NINE last month--January 17th. Early in the month, Sophie planned out all of the details of her upcoming friend party. I literally had no opportunity to input ideas. She entirely took over. I even found a little checklist she'd written out, reminding her of what she needed to do to get ready. Around here we don't do Pinterest parties, we do kid parties.  There were several phases of decorating around the house and I wasn't allowed to help. I took this picture the day before the friend party. The kids had Wayne's Bar looking festive.   A "Happy Birthday Sophie" banner and a "Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Pony" game Sophie crafted. Sophie wanted to make homemade pizzas with her friends, so we whipped up a large batch of pizza dough along with several fresh strawberries pies  and homemade whipped cream  (also requested for the occasion).  Even little Lindy donned a kitchen a...

It's a Brand New Year!

On New Year's Eve I told Casey and the kids the big news of 2016: We are having another baby! I thought that 3 was a good number, but once we moved onto #4 (Lindy), I knew that we'd need to make it to #5. It's a numbers thing for me. Look for the next addition in late summer. We spent New Year's Day at Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville. It was a spontaneous decision to head up. The temperatures were below freezing, but the sun was out and it seemed like the right thing to do. There are several pools of varying temperatures at the hot springs and some of them were overflowing with people, but we soon found our zen in the 93-degree Olympic-sized pool. That one was relatively empty. The waters there are so mineral rich, that slightly lifting your legs brings you into a floating position with literally no effort. We found that we could float effortlessly on our backs and spent ample time drifting through the giant steaming pool, with the snow-capped Wellsville Mounta...
