JANUARY 2025!

We got back from Puerto Rico on January 6th and the kids were back to school the very next day and life shifted abruptly back to the regular and ordinary. Tired little Sean after our trip. Sean and I made this cool diorama of the First Vision together and then he taught an FHE lesson on Joseph Smith. Sean, working on his scarf after school. One of the many reasons that I love Wasatch Charter School. All the kids learn to knit there and it's absolutely the coolest thing. Sean, yarn-master extraordinaire.  On January 17th, this chick turned 18! Casey and I, on break in the Albion Grill while skiing up at Alta on Sophie's birthday. The younger kids didn't have school that day and Sophie took the day off. (Only Hallee went to school. Poor thing.) Lindy, loving every minute up at Alta. We went to Escape on 13th and did the "Walk the Plank" escape room with the whole family, dined at Cafe Rio afterwards and then had the extended family over for pie and ice cream back at...

NOVEMBER 2022!!

Bear started November out with a bang, literally. He escaped the house and ran down the street, Hallee chasing after him, then promptly ran into traffic on 900 East and was hit and thrown by a car. Birgitte, our neighbor, saw it happen and came to the door to tell me. I thought, "I better go find Casey first before heading down so that there is one of us to comfort and hold Hallee and one of us to carry the dead dog home." Birgitte told me that Bear was thrown into the air and then about 30 feet in front of the car. After finding Casey, we walked down the driveway to head down the street when suddenly Bear appeared, stunned, but apparently okay. He was walking and moving well but had some lacerations on his face and legs and generally appeared to be largely uninjured, at least seriously.  Hallee witnessed the car hit Bear as she ran toward him.
