SEPTEMBER 2023!!

We spent the first 4 days of September at Granite Flats Campground up American Fork Canyon in the "Stonemason" group site (to honor Casey's profession) with the extended Sullivan family. We were all nervous about the weather forecast for the Labor Day weekend--every single day called for rain (and a lot of it). We lucked out because Friday and Saturday--although overcast and much colder than usual for this time of year--were not too wet. Just a few sprinkles and mostly at night. Sunday evening brought the torrential rains which followed us into Monday morning (when we needed to pack up). It was an unforgettable trip. Sean, collecting bugs. Of course. Lindy and Eisley. Lindy, guarding one of "the girl forts." Finn, engaged in some manly wilderness arts. Tom, stationed at "the boy fort." Abner Sully--the great and powerful--at the boy's fort.
