Freight Train Summer

This summer it is non-stop action around here.  These first few photos are from a while back, but I just found them on Casey's phone and they deserve posting.  With the help of his friends Dave and Trent, Casey installed his first BIG carving project several months ago at a law office downtown.  Dave and Trent, working on the installation. The masterpiece.  Way to go Casey.  You are AWESOME!! A few months ago, Dave went with Casey to do a service assignment at the local thrift store.  They found some amazing stuff. FHE at Liberty

Last Monday we had our family home evening at Liberty Park.  The girls rode all of the kiddie rides they could.  They even let little Zeke-Horse on the carousel and the Ferris wheel (one that is over 100 years old).  The girls LOVED it.  I asked Hallee if she was having a fun time and she said, "Oh yes mom, it's like the FIREWORKS!" If you study this shot closely, you'll observe Casey Bert with Hallee and Zeke having the time of their lives. After the rides, there were the obligatory "ice cones" as Sophie calls them (snow cones) and popcorn, then it was off to the hill climbing and log rolling.
