Zeke and Sean, making rain prints in our driveway. Skye, Lindy, Andrew, Parker and Levi. These kids (sometimes with Zeke, Sean, Jaiden, TJ and the Nelsens) spent the summer tubing Millcreek, which runs through our neighborhood. Lindy was the biggest fan and the center of the group. We burned through several tubes, finally ending up with hardcore tow tubes (the kind that are pulled behind boats). These kids spent an inordinate amount of time together, often ending up at our house (or the Dicksons or Stolls) for dinner each night. My favorite summer tubing episode was recounted by Sean, Zeke and Lindy as follows: "We were tubing today when 3 police officers showed up. [An individual who lives along the creek had called the police, concerned about the safety and the legality of the practice . . . and likely because of the raucous noise.
