Our Chinese New Year celebration (February 1st) consisted of an epic take-out dinner from a local Chinese restaurant--David's Kitchen--and then some in house dragon dances, featuring Lindy's homemade red dragon head. We ALL took turns improvising dragon moves with Lindy's clever costume. Zeke, inserting an alternative costume into the party. Even Bear got in on the action. In early February, Lindy was tapping on one of the Nelson's basement windows from the outside. Lucas returned fire (on the inside) and in his enthusiasm accidentally broke the window. She and Lucas later held a meeting (under Ted's direction) to figure out a plan to pay for the window, brainstorming about hot chocolate and cookie stands. February brought the long-awaited cabinetry for our little basement laundry room, including two built in desks where a person needing some quiet can read, create or otherwise get away from the chaos of the house.
