Snippits from August and September--2019
Hiking up Thayne's Canyon with the Tolman's for an Monday night FHE picnic in August: Baby Sean. We stopped for dinner at the lean-to. Lindy and Bennett. We decided last minute to head out to the West Desert to catch a piece of the Perseid meteor shower in August. Lindy near Horseshoe Springs. We were swarmed by massive clouds of mosquitoes near the springs, so this scene didn't last long. Away from the water the biting insects thinned out, but they were still ubiquitous. We spread out our giant tarp and set up camp with pillows, blankets, and lots of popcorn while we waited for the celestial display to come. We all caught a glimpse of several meteors, although Casey won the prize for the most sightings. In August we drove up to the Miner's cabin on the shore of Bear Lake and spent the day swimming, eating, and jet-skiing with Kim and Steff and their kids.
