DECEMBER 2024!!
Lindy's class (the Brislecones, with Ms. Veronica) on a field trip to the Loveland Aquarium at the beginning of December. I've been chaperoning all the field trips this year. On Thursday, January 5th, Sophie, Hallee and I flew to Los Angeles for the Footlocker West Regional XC race. The Skyline team planned to go together on a school-organized trip but the cost became untenable (there are some serious organizational issues and no affordable buses we're available by the time they started to plan) so parents were left to bring their own kids. I had several things planned that weekend (Casey's holiday company party, a friend get together and one of my favorite traditions--the Salt Lake Children's Choir Christmas concert) but ditched them all because I love these two girls. We started the trip out by eating lunch on the Redondo Beach Pier and then renting e-bikes to cruise at top speed, covering several miles of coastline--past Hermosa, Manhattan and El Segundo bea...
